Obsessed?

Tue Jul 7, 2009, 10:19 PM
Recently (the past two days) Ive been uber excited about Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. It looks soooooooooooooo awesome omg. I just reread the book and Im all set to criticize every line in the movie. Ive already got something to moan about: in the HBO Harry Potter sneak peek (look it up on youtube, its awesome) they say theres a fight sequence at the Burrow. SAY WHAT? Oh, thats right, for once they havent neglected a scene from the book, oh no... instead theyve added one. Anger (but not really, just a bit annoyed). SLUGHORN LOOKS AWESOME THOUGH. Wow that was all caps. But seriously, I love the actor playing him (Jim Broadbent) and hes so funny!

Currently rewatching the movies and I totally and completely miss the old Dumbledore, he was funny and kind. The new one is just plain mean, quite unlike the book character. Michael Gambon sucks. I wont be sad when he dies.

And efff. I hate Hermione... well, Emma Watson really. I liked her in the first two movies, then she decided to act Hermione with a constantly concerned voice and expression (which sucks the funny out of any scene), flared nostrils and shoulder breathing. Who seriously breathes like that? God shes annoying.

On a happier note, if you want to see something supremely hilarious, go to the "troll in the dungeons!!" scene in the first movie and watch it in slo mo. Ron and Malfoy have amazing terrified expressions and oh boy, I had to rewatch the scene 4 or 5 times. When you watch it in slo mo, it kind of looses the panicky feel, seeing as more than half of the kids are smiling and laughing. Veeery amusing.

EDIT: IM PRETTY PISSED RIGHT NOW. PRETTY PISSED INDEED. They messed with the orignal plot a whole lot more than I thought they did. Look it up. David Yates cut the Dursleys, Kreacher, Dobby, Bill and Fleur, Rufus Scrimgeour, Cornelius Fudge and the Muggle Prime Minister, all but 2 of the memories, THE FUNERAL AND THE FREAKING CLIMACTIC BATTLE. OMFG. Im going to punch a hole in the wall. Instead they added some more scenes with Bellatrix (sorry but I HATE how Helena Bonham Carter is always trying to steal the scenes) and more angsty bits with ron and hermione. And possibly harry and ginny.

Painting is an additive art. The artist adds to the canvas until they stop with their version of reality. Photography is subtractive art. First we throw away 90 percent then remove what is left bit by bit until we have only the reality we wish to show.
